I attended the ABBA’s BACK Charity Dinner at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching last Saturday. The Charity dinner was held by Catholic Welfare Services Sarawak (CWS) in collaboration with the Society of St Vincent De Paul and Kidney Association of Sarawak (KAS) in aid of poor and destitute people.
This is the only picture of the screen i had.
Our table is worth RM 10,000 which made a ticket worth around RM 1000 per pax. They called it Silver packs. For the Gold packs which i heard from a friend of mine, is worth RM 25,000.
The dinner isnt about how grand the food will be but to aid the poor especially to the Kidney Association. So, no matter how the food was like.. its worth it. Right?
The menu of the day :
First, we have this cold platter
Baby Octopus, Jelly fish, and assorted sushi roll alike thing. *yum*
Dried Scallop with Assorted seafood soup
“Teo Chew” style steamed Promfret fish
Steamed chicken with chinese herbs and meddler seeds
Braised assorted dried seafood with dou mushroom
wok fried rice
Mango pudding with strawberry sauce as their patries
and Fruits Platter
Nevertheless.. they have this very unique taste of tea. *love it*

Thankiuk Eileen for inviting us to the Winning Wine Launching at Grand Margherita, Kuching. I really enjoyed the winning wine and cheese testing session!! *happie*
The Winning wine launching took place at Rajang Lobby lounge. One of the very comfortable lounge to hang out.
Presenting Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial.. ALthough its the entrance level but but… i still love it!
Apart from that… they provided different types of cocktail food to pair with all the four main winning wine.

and most of all… CHEESE!!!

omg omg omg!!
Not only the cheese… The MAGGIE BEER jam!! it goes perfectly with the Australian cheese.
SEE!! i had the whole plate of cheezy stuff with me!!
Mind u.. the little blur knob is the blue cheese.. one of my very favourite. Just cant resist how delicious and sinful it is!!!
I like it this way… a slice of cheese, a knob of Maggie Beer Jam and blue cheese on a tiny piece of cream cracker. Heavenly Awesome!!
When most of the guests and press have arrived… The Introduction of the Winning Wine from the Riche Monde’s Brand Ambassador for Champagnes & Spirit, W.K Chong had finally started!!
Starting off with the speech given by W.K Chong about all the four winning wine of the day.
First of all will be the Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial Champagne from France
Yes yes yes.. the one i m holding. *wuakakaka*

Terrazas Chardonnay Vintage
The third winning wine.. from Argentina as well

Not only we were able to enjoy the wonderful session of wine and champagne tasting.. The Brand Ambassador, W.K Chong also shared his experience to explain the art of pairing on the spot as we were able to taste all the four different wine against the choice of meat available. However, the result of coupling is often flavourable.. it all depends on your own preferences..
The session ended around 8.30pm but three of us still stayed back for another session..

Apart from all all the winning wine.. They have plenty of top graded wine as well..
And the Good news is… Even the four winning wine will be available started on 6th August 2010 for both hotels, Grand Margherita and Riverside Majestic Hotel.

I went around 7pm on the 2nd of July. The crowd wasnt there yet as i think its still very early for party wise event…

We started off with the performances by Amy Winehouse look alike…!
Continued with the Madonna Look alike..! Loving all the songs by her.
she can really sing well tho!
and dance!
and obviously.. madonna caught everyone’s attention bcoz she likes to interact with the crowd as compared to amy. =)
Apart from all the performances.. we actually have other contests and activities going on…
like… they have this famous Danny for the “Fire” performance…

And.. i even got a henna from ah siaw… a very talented guy from lim kok wing…!
he can really draw very very well…!

and obviously…. all of us get one for ourselves! *muahaha*

Anyway… before the event ends…
we have this last more performance from Lady Gaga look alike..
i guess.. everyone is waiting for this..
well.. at least i know i m…!
I enjoyed the event a lot.. not only i meet a lot of old friends and of cox new friends… but to just drown myself into the music by all the celebrities look alike..
Well.. somehow.. u can jus feel their intention of bringing all the joy to their audiences. Sincerity and efforts!
OH! and lionel is a fun and cool guy to hang out with! hahaa!
