Totally stunned. WHY is it so cheap!! Previous trip, we spent a night at Likas Square Service Apartment and next to the building, it was this Korean Restaurant called Hi Seoul Korean Restaurant. A local friend of us mentioned they have good Korean food there and since it was stone throw distance away from our apartment, we decided to give it a try!

We flipped the menu and.. OMG SO CHEAP!! CAN WE ORDER EVERYTHING? Was shocked because overall the expenses and price of food tend to be higher in KK compared to Kuching. However, Korean Food just proved us wrong!

They opened as early as 6.30am to 10pm. They even have set lunch and set breakfast for RM 10 only! Oh ya, haven mentioned that the RM10 set lunch or breakfast is inclusive or.. either a big pot of kimchijiggae or a big portion of BBQ meat. wow! Since its 4 of us, we wanted to try more so we dint try any set meals. We opt for Ala carte instead.

We ordered this beef short ribs soup. Very very good. A lil bit sweet because there’s big chunks of onions, carrot and radish. Beef ribs was cooked until bone falling tender. Nice!

Tofu soup with seafood. The colour of the soup doesn’t look spicy but YES it is very spicy! Very generous portion of the tofu!

Gimbap! This one is really good. Recommended! A lil bit of sweetness to balance up the Gimbap! Oh nom nom nom nom! I think I had 4 pieces of this. Just cant get enough!

And Grilled Spicy Pork Belly!! GUESS GUESS GUESS HOW MUCH??!!!!!!!!! Its only RM 28!!!! WHAT???!! I know right? Such big portion for this price!! In Kuching, we have to pay at least RM 78 for such portion of grilled pork belly!! And look at the colour of it, marination is spot on! To be eaten with free flow of veges and garlic! yum yum yum! Cheap right!

Ok last Bibimbap. This one is quite disappointing. Its almost tasteless. Maybe the chef just forgot to put something in. Hehehe!

So… Look at the table of food..! Its only RM 140!!!!! 5 dishes, RM 140! I will come back for more next time, or maybe hunt for another affordable Korean Restaurant in town. HeHeHe!

P/S : Hi Seoul is a very famous korean restaurant among the locals. If you want to dine there during weekends, please go early like before 6.30pm. 🙂
