Shida Night Market (师大夜市)

Shida Night Market is one of the famous night market at Taipei. Although its not as big as others but they have variety of yummylicious food. 🙂

We reached there around 5pm and luckily most of the stalls are opened.

We saw a lot of stalls that were recommended by some entertainment shows but we dint manage to try all of it. huhuhu!

This is one of the very famous.. 可丽饼 (Crepes) The Queue was like… ahhh.. still need to take number and wait for your turn. Give up!

Ohh.. look at the Braised Thingy (卤味) stall! oh… tall like mountain…

Bought some.. it was so-s0.

and the Pig Blood Cake (猪血糕). yum yum!!

Not only that, i tried out the Stinky Tofu (臭豆腐)..

but this one is not as nice as those i have tried before.

A lil lil bit disappointed

Shida’s famous Thai Chicken Drumstick…

Its famous because they grilled it right in front of your eyes. When you walked pass the stall.. you just cant resist the temptation of the sizzling grilled chicken drumstick!

It comes with some side dish and their special dark sauce…

Served hot.

XingJiang Lamb Skewers (新疆羊肉串). Not bad at all 🙂

my favourite of all in Shida Night Market was this…

(大肠包小肠).. Sausage wrapped in glutinous rice with sauerkraut and sauce! yumyumyum….!!! Can i have moreeee!!!!

and this one……

Taiwan Bak Wan (肉丸)..

The skin is made of some kinda flour… it was very chewy and Q.

The stuffing was basically meat, some bamboo shoots and.. mushroom.. topped with some awesomeness pink sauce!!! sooo nicee!! OH.. must not forget the parsley on top!

After dinner.. there is always desserts.

Red bean soup with bean curd

or their special ice.

Apart from those we have tried… some of the famous one are..

牛魔王.. selling grilled steak

盐酥鸡

甜不辣

车轮蛋糕

辣炒年糕

and before you went back to your hotel…

Grab a packet of this….!

Its called 菱角.. you can munch which watching movie series. Muahaha!

I suppose in Taiwan, if you don’t queue, you don’t get good food. That’s what my tour guide ALWAYS say. bRrrr! Luckily for me, the queue always pretty fast! *drooling over the pics* Hungry zhor!

[dys].. hahaha! not all need to queue na… and not all that need to queue is nice.. we queue for so long for the chicken steak and we bought one earlier without queuing and the not laku one is so much nicer. kekeke.. and those behind the alley hawker stall also no need to queue ba. muahaha

    [Kally] 猪血糕很好吃。。没有猪血的味道。。其实是很Q的米糕。口感很棉密。。咬下去的时候会弹牙的哦。。它本身是有点米糕的味道。。主要是酱料的提味哦。。
