Savory Oatmeal with Shredded ham, Egg & Prawn

I promised myself no matter what happened, how bad the condition is, especially when the worst came, I have to keep writing, to remind myself i am still conscious, i am still a human, i still can behave like one. Happy Raya to everyone, I dont have fancy stuff to post these few days but i do make an effort to cook at home. Hence, just write about my simple recipe yea?

Two savory oatmeal recipes to share for today : (1) Savory Oatmeal with shredded ham, sunny side up, poached prawn and ceylon spinach. (2) Savory Oatmeal with poached egg and braised black fungus.
Savory Oatmeal with Shredded Ham, Egg, Prawn & Ceylon Spinach

Ingredients
  1. 4 tbsp of instant Oats
  2. Shredded ham
  3. Egg
  4. Prawn
  5. Ceylon Spinach
  6. Soy Sauce
  7. A knob of butter
  8. Spices to taste
  9. Pinch of salt
Instructions
  1. Cook the oats with boiling water
  2. Pan fry the shredded ham, sunny side up, prawn and ceylon spinach with butter and salt
  3. Combine the oats with the ingredients and add soy sauce
  4. Optional : sprinkle the spices before served

It can be your breakfast, lunch, dinner or even supper. Actually, just add anything you have from your fridge. 🙂

Ingredients
  1. 3 tbsp of instant oats
  2. Egg
  3. Leftover braised black fungus
  4. Pepper
  5. Spices to taste
  6. Soy sauce
Instructions
  1. Cook instant oats with boiling water
  2. Poach an egg for 4 minutes
  3. Heat up the leftover braised black fungus
  4. Combine all ingredient and serve with soy sauce
  5. Optional : Add spices according to you liking

I use the leftover braised black fungus. You can use and recycle anything you have. That’s the wonder of savory oatmeal.

Poke the egg yolk. That’s what you wanna do before you dig it. It does make a difference.
