Miri :: Brunei

Went to Miri for a weekend getaway

The purpose of the trip : To try out the extremely popular Excapade Sushi in Brunei

And so we are… one hour flight and landed at Miri. Mummy and i were welcomed with a fruity cheese cake!!

Layers of cheese sponge cake and cream cheese fillings with mixed fruits!! *OMG*

Day 1 : Rest at home until late afternoon

Hello nini.. hungry isit~  *hohoho*

Went to the famous ice kacang in some market

Explored Tamu Market…

Wooots.. not only they have lotsa fresh fruits but also some local BBQ food

Picked my cousins back from their drawing class and headed back home.

Stephanie showed me a bed of soft toys..

and.. i spotted my favourite… a very old teddy bear. hahaha!! yes i love old stuff..

oh.. twinky so cute!

Aunty then drive me to Marina Bay for some sunset view

Oh… so damn nice!!

Day 2 : Went to breakfast.. and… went for lunch before we depart to Brunei

And.. we still have time to go for a slight shopping….!!

We love mirror… cant you see that!! muahahaha

AFter lunch.. its time for Brunei Half Day trip!

We went to a mall called Supa Save… with lotsa imported goods they said

Oh.. of coz i bring this old bear bear along with me. hoho

Tried out the sausages in the mall. My cousins love it

Headed to another mall called Soon Lee Supermarket. Almost similar to Supa Save but the goods were cheaper.

Saw this GIANT can mushroom. OMG!

And the old bear bear and the “before” version. OMG.. my cousin say they got the bear when they are 3 years old… and now.. after 7 years.. the supermarket actually still sell the SAME bear! OMG x2

Ok.. enough of the green bear.. i had another blue bear with me! so cute!

When the clock hits 5.30pm.. Its time for Excapade Sushi

Weekend Escapade!!

Just come back from my weekend escapade!!!

sometimes… its good to take a break..

take a short break to be adventurous…

to jump along in the woods…

to appreciate the greens with my beloved pet..

to snap some pics of those scary big fishes in the pond..

to be a  Japanese for just one day…

to live like a Japanese in the woods..

to get ahlun to have fun with me..

to pretend we were the coolest Japanese..

to understand the culture of a Japanese..

to act like a Japanese ghost..

to loiter around the flower pond..

to visit the beautiful castle..

to “mingle” around with smaller rabbits…

and lastly.. to hang out with mua family…!!

Another RGH’s outing!

We are supposed to attend an event but eventually… well… *censored* hahaha! Anyway.. we managed to still hang out together for the RGH random third outing. *nyek nyek*

Start off with a light shopping at Crown. But but… shock enough.. all the shops are closed down.. dys and i din even know it. hohoho!

So.. we proceed to have our early dinner at Mr.Ho Fine Food…. ARGH favourite place! heheheehe

Our drinks…!! Sarsaparilla, Ginger beer and Ice Lemon Tea….!!

DysLing and RoseLing had their all time favourite : Aglio Olio!!!

I don dare to have a bite bcoz it might have the prawn base…. huehuehue!

So.. for me.. a porky lover.. i had this!!

Roasted pork with Apple sauce…

GOSH!!! so tasty… cripsy skin.. the meat is soft and juicy!!! and the 3 layer pork is not that FAT that day..

but still… sharing is preferable!!! *teeehehehe*

And the usual makan makan partner…!!

Second venue… Wine and Liquor….!! Coz we wanna buy something for someone’s birthday! *nyek nyek*

Happy enough… we had a sip of Malibu and Champagne!!! HOhoHo!!

And we had a great chat with all the people there. such a relaxing shop hor

Third venue… MAC!!!

Dys wanted to buy some concealer and i recommended her MAC…

she wanna try out the eye shadow and so on…. A full make over! *woots*

and TADA!!! Pretty Dys!!!! when will be RoseLing’s turn

A Deep purple with multi pearl…. Oh… its limited edition somemore!! but i din buy… still thinking still thinking. hohoho!

After a long pacing at Spring.. we headed to Secret Recipe!!

For the same reason….. DURIAN cheesecake… oh oh. we had Classic cheese that day as well!! *yum yum*

Little Italy @ KK, Sabah

They said Little Italy serves very authentic Italian Food. Well, i m a big fan of Italian Food… anything goes with pasta will definitely enlighten me. Not to say my deepest love, Fettuccine.. *taaaahahaha*

The initial plan of going to Nelayan Kampung for buffet was cancelled off because we found this Little Italy when we were walking back to our hotel from Jesselton Point. It is located somewhere near Wisma Merdeka, if not mistaken, the block next to it. =)

They have both indoor and outdoor seatings..

Lucky enough for us.. we only waited for like 15 minutes to get ourselves a table inside.

I love Italian Food especially those they allow u to choose what kinda pasta you would love to have!! *awwww* This is very common is western countries but not in Malaysia. so.. it actually makes me happier. hehehe!

We had Home Made lemonade!! Freezing Cold and Refreshing… The Large one is RM 9.90 whereas the Regular one is RM 7.90.

Pumpkin Soup! If u don eat pumpkin, you should try this… you might just fall in love with pumpkin. =D

The sequence of exposing the food pictures is based on my own liking. hehehe!! So… as u have expected…

Carbonara Light with Fettuccine Verdi!!!!!!!!!!!! *screammmms*

Instead of  the normal creamy carbonara.. this one is Carbonara LIGHT. Light as in it is not too creamy, they substitute the cream with fresh egg sauce.. saute with Beef Bacon and fresh mushrooms… *RM 33.90*

Wooooooseeeiii!! Even if u finished the whole plate of Fettuccine.. you will still feel extremely comfortable with it…!

Second Love… its my own order

Norcino with Ravioli Beef.. RM 33.90..i love ravioli as we seldom have very nice ravioli in kuching.. the first time i had Ravioli is Pumpkin Ravioli i had in Melbourne.. but this one.. well.. its MEAT!! love it to the max!! they have chicken or beef ravioli for u to choose. I had Beef of coz!

Norcino is one of the best seller dish in Little Italy.. knowing the ingredients will already waken ur tastebuds!!! Norcino is served with Walnuts, turkey ham and the home made lamb and beef sausage sauteed in Light Cream Sauce! Oo lala!!!!!! The sausages.. omg… give me 10 dozens please!

This is The Beef Ravioli… creamy aint!!

and of coz.. they have minced beef inside…

Every single Ravioli is well stuffed by this juicy well marinated minced beef!! And once u bite, the ravioli will kinda “explode” in ur mouth and the combination with the sausage with the light cream and a slight taste of the roasted walnut just make the dish soooo perfect!!!

Oh.. *wipe saliva*

Alright.. next.. we have this Salmone with Trenette all Uovo. RM 23.90

Trenette All Uovo is like Angel hair.. i m not a big fan of skinny noodles but Salmon? yes yes yes.. Salmon with artichokes served with creamy dill sauce..! maybe they can make it “light” too!

Next Up.. Quattro Formaggi with Penne!!! RM 33.90. Look at the description itself also feel cheezzy! hehehe! its a combination of 4 kinds of cheese.. Danish Blue, Emmenthal, Parmesan and Morzarella cheese served with CREAM somemore… hohoho! I think Kally only manage to eat less than half of the portion….

Aglio Olio E Peperoncino… RM 22.90.. Served with Olive oil, garlic, chilli sauce with Spicy chilli fettuccine. it tasted better if u add in a lot of Tabasco sauce. *grin*

Salsa Primavera with Fusilli.. RM 33.90. The only reason i don like the dish is because i hate Fusilli. hahaha! thats all.. the curly curly colourful stuff.. huhuhuhuhu!!

Apart from all the pasta.. we ordered one pizza for sharing….! Recommended by the staff… Pizza Bianca…  Large, RM 26, Regular RM 19.90

Basic Pizza with Mozzarella Cheese, cream sauce and turkey ham.. such a simple ingredient but it certainly fulfilled everyone’s tummy! *yum yum*

wuahahaha!! i will certainly go back for the first and second dish!! and more pizza!!! *nom nom nom nom*
